Health
The issue of health is something that finds its way into the news reasonably often in the modern day. We regularly hear about the growing rates of obesity gripping both this country and the US and how this is causing a great strain on our National Health Service.
This is why we are constantly being reminded to get and keep healthy through plenty of exercise maintained by a balanced diet of fruit and veg. We are urged to get at least thirty minutes of exercise five days a week to avoid the onset of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer and osteoporosis. By exercising we also provide our bodies with a higher amount of good cholesterols and reduce high blood pressure (both of which are related to the mentioned heart disease) as well as maintaining a sense of good well being, keeping depression at bay.
In terms of food, the most obvious way of keeping healthy is with fruit and vegetables, but there are plenty of other food groups to eat from as well to keep it balanced. Plenty of protein (like meats and eggs) and starch filled food (such as bread, potatoes, rice and pasta) and dairy products. We can also have some fat, but in small amounts.
